As a plant ecologist, I think about plants a lot. I'd like to share some of those thoughts with my neighbors, so they can make more informed decisions about what to plant in their yards and gardens. I hope introduce people to some of the great native plants we have here in Denver, and to show which non-native plants you might want to think twice about planting.
I'll write some major one-time articles, as well as recurring spotlights on plant news, plant research, and individual species.
My goal is to make this blog a resource for information, not a soapbox. I will try to keep my posts factual and cited, and make it explicitly clear when I'm stating my opinion. My opinion is also my own, and does not necessarily represent the views of any of the organizations which I cite or with which I am affiliated.
